DOUBLE HIRE CEMENTS INVESTMENT IN THE NEXT GENERATION FOR M&E FIRM

EXPERT engineering consultancy Couch Perry Wilkes (CPW) boosts its track record of training the next generation by taking on two new graduates, Charlie Davis and Jack Pascoe, bolstering its East Midlands team and investing in training young people across the region.

Jack and Charlie join CPW with degrees in architectural technology and mechanical engineering respectively, as well as both having promising experience in the construction field. They join a host of other engineers that have excelled at CPW.

Jack said:

“The ‘CPW’ name has cropped up a lot in my previous work experience. It’s a company that I’ve always known of as professional, highly skilled, and, ultimately, as somewhere I wanted to work one day. You can imagine how pleased I am, therefore, to have started my new role here!

“I’m most looking forward to learning how to use Revit software, and applying it to interesting, and more importantly, sustainable engineering projects. The push for sustainability in construction has never been more pressing and I believe we all have a responsibility to reduce the carbon footprint of buildings wherever we can.”

Sustainability is at the heart of the CPW ethos, with the firm completing a number of net-zero carbon projects in recent years. Charlie expressed a similar interest in the firm’s sustainability pledges.

Charlie said:

“It’s an exciting time to be working in the engineering field, with Government incentives for zero carbon technologies offering lots of opportunities for CPW to continue its sustainability work.

“As well as its strong focus on the environment, I was drawn to CPW’s excellent training and development offering. From the programmes we use, to learning the technical aspects of building services, I’ve been able to learn something new and develop my skill set every day since joining the team.”

CPW prides itself on creating an inclusive, dynamic, and collaborative workplace. Charlie added:

“CPW is the best place I’ve worked. Everyone shows a real interest in helping you to develop and become a strong team member.”

Carl Hubbard, associate director at CPW, said:

“A company is only as strong as its staff and growing new talent is really important to us. We’re passionate about curating the next generation of M&E engineers and helping the graduates develop both personally and professionally.

“Both Jack and Charlie have hit the ground running as graduate engineers and we’re looking forward to seeing them go from strength-to-strength.

“The last year has been a real challenge and CPW are really proud of how we have supported our staff whilst ensuring we are delivering the same high-quality work to our clients, achieving the exceptional standards we bestow upon ourselves, This enables our recruitment and development and is a testament to all the staff we employ.”

CPW is a national M&E consultancy with more than 200 staff based across nine regional offices. The firm specialises in designing and integrating the full range of energy solutions into existing and new buildings to deliver cutting edge sustainable solutions for its clients.
