Optima UK’s GREAT start to helping people get back to work

Optima UK, the Enderby-based recruitment, training, and consultancy business, has begun delivering its part of a GREAT Project programme to get Leicestershire people ready for work and training.

The Getting Ready for Employment and Training (GREAT) Project is a free service designed to give members of families, who are not currently employed, the support they need to find work or training opportunities.

Funded by the European Social Fund and The National Lottery Community Fund, GREAT is delivered by Voluntary Action LeicesterShire (VAL).

As a GREAT Project partner, Optima is delivering the health and wellbeing support by providing a confidential and impartial service to people referred to us who have any health and wellbeing concerns which they feel may be preventing them from moving into work or training.

The GREAT Project team manager Chantal Brotherhood said: “We are very pleased to announce our new partnership with Optima UK. In 2020, both employment and wellbeing have been two areas particularly affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

“To help local families potentially impacted by both is a great step forward. We’re looking forward to delivering wellbeing services with Optima in 2021.”

In addition, Optima is providing, where needed, advice, support and onward referral to additional healthcare or support services.

Leading on behalf of Optima is Senior Training Consultant Rachel Nott, who joined the business five months ago, bringing with her more than 20 years of experience of working in person-centred roles dedicated to providing the best possible customer experience.

Rachel said: “We’re extremely proud to be helping people prepare themselves for the world of work or training, and particularly in the very important but often overlooked field of health and wellbeing.

“At Optima, we have a fantastic team of highly-experienced people with various backgrounds who are able to guide people and help them develop and carry out fulfilling roles.”

Optima UK offers a range of training and development courses for individuals, public sector organisations, and commercial businesses.

It has a range of courses, such as CV Essentials, High Impact Interview Techniques, Self Awareness, Targeted Job Search, and Workplace Behaviours.
