CCM Group supports flexible working with ‘work from anywhere’ scheme

Nottinghamshire-based creative business is allowing all office-based staff to choose where they work under a new flexibility scheme launched by the business in December 2020.

CCM Group, a company that provides creative, print, brand innovation and fulfilment services, has completely transformed its working culture and environment over the last year, with one of the biggest long-term changes being the implementation of a flexible working scheme for all office-based staff.

As part of its ‘work from anywhere’ scheme, CCM Group is allowing its employees the flexibility of choosing whether to work from their HQ based in Huthwaite, from home, a mixture of the two, or the freedom to work from absolutely anywhere. This flexible approach comes off the back of the business having to adapt how it operates as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.

According to a FlexJobs’ survey, 95% of respondents say that their productivity has been higher or the same while working from home and over 80% of company leaders plan to allow employees to work remotely, after the pandemic. Being ahead of the curve, Trent Peek, Group Director at CCM, decided to roll out a flexible working scheme for all of its office-based employees back in December 2020 which took effect from January 2021.

Trent Peek, Group Director at CCM, said:

"If there’s anything we can learn from the last year, it’s that transparency and flexibility is paramount. Whether our people are working in the office, from home, a hybrid approach, or working from absolutely anywhere, including another country. I am confident that I can trust every single person to carry out their role no matter the location or environment they are working from.

“The world of work is changing rapidly and I believe that the focus should be on creating an environment and a culture where people can work how they want, where they want and when they want. We’re hopeful that our "work from anywhere" scheme will provide employees with more control of their lives, offering an improved work life balance and most importantly, signifying our trust in them.”

Flexible working isn’t the only initiative CCM Group is championing. Since January 2021, the company has placed its sustainability and wellbeing strategies at the forefront of its focus too. In the space of four months, the business has embarked on its journey to become a climate positive workforce in partnership with Ecologi, planting over 5,000 trees and supporting UK and worldwide carbon reduction projects. This is in addition to introducing a fleet of electric company cars, a scheme that is accessible to all within the business, and implementing internal weekly wellness sessions with CCM Group’s Head of People, Chelsea Peek. Sessions so far include, financial wellbeing and planning, physical activities such as yoga, creative crafts and virtual choir sessions.

Chelsea Peek, Head of People at CCM Group, adds:

“Our work from anywhere scheme is an additional incentive that allows our people to work from anywhere they wish, at any given time. We don't need to be chained to our office desks to be productive and achieve success, so we knew there was no reason for us to keep it that way post-pandemic.

“Our employees won't be forced to return to the office, but there will always be a space available for those who want it. Instead, we’re hoping our office will become a hub of creativity and collaboration, where our people can meet to discuss projects, invite clients, and enable greatness.”

“Culture and wellbeing is incredibly important to us all at CCM. We trust our people and are fortunate to have the systems, technology and processes in place to communicate effectively from anywhere without hindering the standard of our work. Our main focus moving forward is to encourage collaboration, embrace change and empower our people.”
