Fundraising success as Visual Print and Design complete 1 million step challenge

Throughout March, the Lincoln based print and design company, Visual Print and Design, took on the difficult task of collectively walking 1 million steps to raise money for the charity, Marie Curie.

Their fundraising target was £300 but thanks to the generosity of family, friends and customers, the team were able to raise an incredible £370.

Taking part in the challenge was Graham Hunstone, Scott Jones, Charlie Hartley, Sarah Lawrence, Rachael Hunt and Chloe Cockett. Together, they managed to surpass a million steps and by the end of March, they had walked a total of 1,344,032 steps.

The team chose to raise money for Marie curie in memory of Graham’s father, Charles Hunstone, who sadly passed away in January 2021.

Rachael Hunt, Creative Marketing Manager at Visual Print and Design said:

“We’d like to say a big thank you to everyone who donated and helped us raise £370 for Marie Curie through our 1 million step challenge. The charity means a lot to the Visual Print and Design team and we hope this money can go towards helping to continue to provide vital care to people with terminal illnesses.”

Marie Curie is the UK’s leading end of life charity who provide frontline nursing ad hospice care, a free support line and a wealth of information and support on all aspects of dying, death and bereavement.

Lauren Alexander, Community Fundraiser for Lincolnshire for Marie Curie said:

“What an incredibly tough challenge and the team at Visual Print and Design took it all in their stride. Thank you so much to each and every person for their kind donation and of course, to the team for their efforts. They can rest in the knowledge they have helped another Lincolnshire family receive 18.5 hours of care”

The team concluded the challenge on the 31st March with a collective final walk in the south of Lincoln and a quick stop at Daisy Made Farm for an ice cream.
