Nottingham law firm announces string of promotions

Nottingham law firm Rotheras has announced a number of promotions across its departments.  

 

Chris Powell, Emily Weston and Natalie Abbott have all been promoted to senior associate. 

Joining Rotheras in 2019, road transport lawyer Chris has particular experience acting for large European hauliers and transport undertakings on cross border matters. He specialises in challenging civil penalties and LEZ penalties and responding to urgent vehicle seizure matters.  

Residential conveyancing associate solicitor Emily, who is based at Rotheras’ Beeston office joined the firm in 2017. Emily assists clients with all aspects of conveyancing including sales, purchases, remortgages, transfer of equity, new build properties, including help to buy mortgages and shared equity, and right to buy. 

Natalie joined Rotheras from Massers Solicitors in January 2020 and has over 10 years’ experience working in employment law, representing both businesses and individuals in relation to settlement agreements, redundancy, dismissals, breach of contract and discrimination. 

Meanwhile Adam Cotterill and Luke Smith have been promoted to associate, supporting the wills and probate and commercial property teams respectively.  

Adam, who qualified as a solicitor in 2016, specialises in wills and probate and is fluent in Spanish, regularly assisting clients who have assets in Spain or clients who need assistance with administering an estate where there are foreign assets involved.

Luke, who joined Rotheras in 2019 advises clients on all aspects of commercial and residential property and has specialist knowledge of high-net-worth property portfolios and charity and social housing work.
