Promotions and new appointments for growing driver recruitment & logistics company

A positive start to 2021 for temporary driver recruitment and logistics company Route4 Solutions has led to the promotion of Alan Clarke to Sales Director and the appointment of Joanne Soloman as operations co-ordinator.

Alan is an experienced sales professional with over 20 years industry experience and joined the company in January 2020 as a business manager with a brief to diversify and expand the client base. He quickly established himself by winning several new contracts to complement the company’s existing portfolio of leading food manufacturers, retailers and food service companies. Joanne Soloman joined the company in March 2021 from Prolog to support management and help to co-ordinate the recruitment and placement of drivers.

Commenting on his promotion Alan said,

“I really appreciate the opportunity to lead our business development activity. It is widely acknowledged that the last twelve months have been pretty challenging so I’d like to thank our customers and drivers for their support. We have remained committed to providing a flexible, responsive and communicative recruitment solution that is fully focused on placing the right driver in the right placement. It is this ethos and the strength of the relationships we have built that has helped us ride these high and lows and I believe that we can now look forward with renewed optimism.”

Route4 Solutions, was founded in 2014 by company owners and co-Directors Mike and Carol Harris to provide qualified drivers for haulage and logistics operations of all sizes. In 2018, it was one of 15 businesses to move into the newly built Colliers Business Park in Cotgrave, Nottingham, as part of a £100m project regenerate the local area of Cotgrave, funded by Rushcliffe Borough Council through the Growth Deal Funding initiative provided by D2N2 LEP.

Commenting, Mike Harris said,

“Since we moved to Cotgrave we have continued our gradual expansion and whilst we experienced a very short pause in operations at the beginning of the pandemic, everyone quickly adjusted to new ways of working. We have a great team and Alan certainly helped us build the solid foundations that helped us ride through Covid. We firmly believe we have someone we can trust who has the skills and experience to take on more management responsibility.”

The company, which now employs five people, is planning further growth which will include a move to larger premises in May 2021 and continued expansion of its customer base in order to meet their target of reaching £2million turnover by 2022.
