TAYLOR&EMMET OFFERS FREE WILLS FOR CHARITY

Probate experts at Bakewell solicitors, Taylor&Emmet LLP, are supporting local charity, Helen’s Trust, by participating in its forthcoming wills month.

Throughout April, the firm will be offering to write or amend basic wills, in exchange for a donation to the organisation, ranging from £70 to £150.

Taylor&Emmet’s Bakewell-based probate specialist, Hannah Montague, is a keen supporter of Helen’s Trust and will be leading the firm’s efforts. She said:

“We are hoping that by participating in wills month, we can not only highlight the importance of having a will, but also raise vital funds to enable this small, independent charity to continue providing invaluable support to terminally ill local people and their families.”

During wills month, Taylor&Emmet’s probate team will make basic amendments to existing wills for a donation of £70 to Helen’s Trust. Straightforward single wills are available for a donation of £100 and mirror wills for £150. Appointments can be held at Taylor&Emmet’s Bridge Street office, or by Zoom, Teams or telephone.

Hannah added:

“This is a difficult time for charities, who rely so heavily on the generosity of the public, as fundraising opportunities are limited and shops are closed. Wills month is a Covid-friendly way to raise the profile of Helen’s Trust and champion the excellent work it carries out in North East Derbyshire and the High Peak.”

The charity provides support to terminally ill Derbyshire residents who wish to stay in their own homes.
