Liam Pettet (30), from Barnsley, has earned the esteemed accolade for the exemplary standards he sets at his development Fernwood Village on Dale Way.

Having already won his third Pride in the Job Quality award earlier in the year, the Seal of Excellence completes a fantastic year of personal achievements for Liam, in his sixth year with the leading developer.

He said: “I was ecstatic to find out I had won a Seal of Excellence this year. It’s definitely something I have worked towards and I really wanted to drive the quality of the development even in its early stages.

“This award shows that as both a site team and a business we are committed to giving our customers the best possible quality homes, making Fernwood Village a desirable place to live.

“My thanks go to the site team. Achieving this level of award takes hard work and commitment and it requires the whole team to get on board.

“I’m definitely looking ahead to the future and we’ll do our best to continue with these achievements.”

The Pride in the Job awards - considered to be the “Oscars of the housebuilding industry” - recognise the best run sites in the country.

Each Site Manager is judged on a range of key criteria including health and safety, their technical knowledge, customer service and attention to detail.

Mark Cotes, Managing Director at Barratt Homes North Midlands, said: “The Seal of Excellence recognition is a credit to Liam’s effort to maintain such high standards at Fernwood Village.

“At Barratt Homes, we pride ourselves on our high quality housebuilding but this applies to our staff as well, who we work with very closely.

“By employing excellent team players we can ensure that our high standards are maintained across all of our sites and Liam is certainly no exception here.”

There is currently a selection of two, three and four bedroom homes available at Fernwood Village, with prices starting from £172,995.
