Fancy Entertainment are offering a brand new form of entertainment online in the form of traditional, comedy murder mysteries. Immersive stories, live actors and exciting twists and turns ensure that you can still have fun in lockdown.

 

Company director, Annabel Ward is excited about Fancy Entertainment’s dive into virtual events. “With our face to face bookings at a stand still during lockdown, it was only a matter of time before we jumped on the virtual bandwagon!” As an actor, as well as business lady, Annabel started her career performing in murder mysteries and has a total of 12 years experience in the genre. “Murder mysteries seemed like a confident first choice for our online events. They are a combination of drama, comedy and improvisation which is undoubtedly what Fancy Entertainment does best!”

 

Annabel and her team came up with the idea for virtual murder mysteries when running out of ideas for their weekly team building zoom meetings. “We’ve spent a lot of time during lockdown focusing on ourselves and strengthening our relationships in the cast. We’ve been having weekly zoom quizzes often dressing up in ridiculous outfits and going completely over the top in only the way a Fancy cast member can! We’d exhausted themed quizzes and someone suggested a murder mystery. We spent a few weeks writing and performing various scripts until we just had to share our brilliant work with everyone else!”

 

A Fancy Entertainment virtual murder mystery is more than just your average online catch-up. Lead by the Inspector, participants get to uncover secrets, interrogate the characters and watch the drama unfold as evidence is revealed and tensions rise among the suspects. There may even be a death or two!
