Cubo in Derby has provided L.E.A.D. IT Services the opportunity to expand their office space, which couldn’t have happened at a more crucial time for the company – as they need it more now than ever during the global pandemic.

The rapid expansion for L.E.A.D. IT Services comes at a time when schools are most in need of their support to maintain educational learning and reach those key milestones. They have recently given up their weekends and worked extra hours to build hundreds of laptops for the Department of Education, utilising the Cubo open office spaces to get them completed faster. L.E.A.D. IT Services have recently signed a new deal with Cubo to expand their membership as they are nearing 33 employees and need the extra space to take on enquiries from businesses seeking their support. They joined Cubo and moved offices in March 2020 after not only being impressed with the amenities and Cubos ethos, but the flexibility they offer. Cubo in Derby opened in February 2020 in the Old Post Office after completing a huge renovation to the Grade IIlisted building (which was previously a bar) into 20,000 sq. ft of luxury, modern office space. Cubo offers vast amounts of co-working space, hot desking, designated desks and also private offices, where the tenants will enjoy the many perks of Cubo, such as free coffee from the in-house barista. They have recently opened a site in Nottingham and Sheffield will be soon to follow. L.E.A.D. IT Services provide key IT support to education and businesses in the Midlands. They joined Cubo right at the start of the pandemic with 20 employees and have been thriving from the strategic move ever since. Cubo benefits so many businesses like L.E.A.D. IT Services due to its all included business package it offers, and the fixed fees are ideal for budgeting purposes. As many businesses are facing difficulties during these unprecedented times, L.E.A.D. IT Services have been at the forefront of the technological support to schools, care homes and businesses. Work on the projects side of the business has become slower due to the pandemic as innovations have come to a standstill but it gave L.E.A.D. IT Services the opportunity to take on more work with schools to support remote teaching. Lee Jepson, Director of IT said: “Supporting schools has been our upmost priority during the lockdown in the UK. We work with pride, and value our input in the continued learning of our younger generation, we couldn’t have built hundreds of laptops without the space provided by Cubo, they have been a great support to our business during this time, we are glad we made the move to Cubo in Derby, and are ecstatic that we could so easily grow as a business and expand our office space ”
