Christine Ramsay, a native to Gnosall in Staffordshire, joined David Wilson Homes in July 2015 after being attracted by its reputation. She said: “I knew the company had an excellent reputation, and that’s what initially tempted me towards the position.

“My journey so far has been a positive one, and I like working here because the company goes out of their way to make everyone feel valued.”

Christine’s position comes with a number of responsibilities, including liaising with current homeowners at the development, guiding prospective purchasers through the buying process and maintaining a continued relationship with the site team and other outside agencies.

Christine said: “An average day for me involves communicating with people from start to finish. These could be potential buyers or residents that have already moved in and need some help.

“But I also spend a lot of time communicating with those behind the scenes. I spend a lot of time liaising with other colleagues, both in sales and construction, as well as agencies outside. As a Sales Adviser, we are usually the first face the customer sees. No two days are the same!”

However, this year has been very different for Christine, who has had to work throughout the pandemic, along with many others. She continued: “Working through the pandemic has definitely not been easy. There are days where it has been very stressful, and sometimes even lonely when you’re the only person around due to social distancing.

“It has been a difficult time for everyone, but David Wilson Homes has made sure that everyone is doing okay. And it’s not all doom and gloom; during lockdown I spent time painting a 50 foot narrow boat!

“I enjoy all aspects of my job, but I enjoy the challenge of bringing people to the development to see our hard work, and trying to think of ideas on how to attract people to the site.”

Bentley Fields also benefits from its Site Manager, Alex Price. Alex has been with the homebuilder for 13 years, during which he has received three Pride in the Job awards from the NHBC for his team’s high quality work.

Christine is enjoying overlooking her own development and looks forward to her future at David Wilson Homes.

She added: "I am delighted to have been given the responsibility of managing my own site. I’m excited to see new buyers move in and join a budding community being created at Bentley Fields.

“But I’m really excited to get together with friends and family once the world returns to normal.”

Steve Barton, Senior Sales Manager at David Wilson Homes Mercia, said: "We are thrilled that Chris is enjoying working for David Wilson Homes and is managing the sales of a development on her own.

“As a leading developer, one of our main priorities is ensuring we create a stimulating and interesting environment for our employees to thrive in and Christine is doing just that.

Bentley Fields is still open by appointment only and ready to help potential buyers find their dream home. The development has a selection of three and four bedroom homes available, staring at £227,500.
