Loved ones impacted by cancer honoured via charity initiative

Specialist construction, mechanical and electrical supplier, DP Building Systems are providing an opportunity to honour loved ones via a new charity initiative.

Through its new charity partnership with Cancer Research UK, DP Building Systems are aiming to raise cash for the charity, and highlight those impacted by cancer, via its Name a Cable campaign.

Supporters can nominate to have their loved ones commemorated on the Universal 5-in-1 USB Fast Charging Cable or Universal 5-in-1 Data Transfer USB Fast Charging Cable, and make a donation to Cancer Research UK if they want, as part of the initiative.

The funds made from the sale of the cables will go directly to Cancer Research UK.

The initiative is part of DP Building System's campaign to raise £100,000 for the charity.

Rob White, commercial director DP Building Systems Ltd commented: “Over the years, family and friends of DP Building Systems have been affected by cancer, and that’s why we have decided to support Cancer Research UK.

“We hope that the ‘Name a Cable’ campaign will generate additional donations to the charity, help people across the nation celebrate and remember the lives of loved ones, plus show support for nurses, doctors, specialists…and anyone who has been involved in beating cancer. We want to ensure that this experience and the products purchased are as personal as possible, and support Cancer Research UK as best as we can right now."

Chris Plant, divisional director for Burton & District Chamber and Cannock Chase Chamber, has made his own nomination as part of the campaign.

He said: "I have nominated my Nan Lilly to be honoured with products being launched in partnership with Cancer Research UK, DP Building Systems are a corporate partner of Cancer Research UK and through their partnership have launched two essential cabling products.
