Would you like to empower vulnerable and disadvantaged women and children in Derbyshire?

Multi-award winning charity, Women’s Work Derbyshire Ltd is re-launching a support initiative called “1 in a Million” aiming at recruiting 1000 champions, who will then reach out to another 1000, who will then reach out to others, to create the biggest movement to support and advocate for women’s wellbeing.

Dionne Reid, CEO of Women’s Work, explains: “Our vision is of a world where women are free from abuse and harm and are empowered to live a healthy and fulfilling life. We support women across Derbyshire and provide the essential skills and self-belief to move forward living an empowered life by providing personalised programmes of support to reduce the risk of further abuse or harm, improve mental wellbeing and act as a spring board to a better quality of life. This year has been a tough year for many businesses and communities in general are suffering. Organisations like ours need all the support they can get, now more than ever. The search is now on for a million people to support us. A simple donation of £1 per week can make a huge difference to the lives of women we support”.
