Player Roberts Bell grows team as duo joins

One of the East Midlands’ top emerging architecture practices has expanded its team with the addition of two new staff members.

James Cunnington and Claire Johnson have joined as a senior architectural technician and studio manager respectively, further adding to the company’s talented team.

The hires follow on from the firm’s relaunch as Player Roberts Bell earlier this year, reflecting the business’ continued expansion and the growth of its client base.

James arrives at Player Roberts Bell from internationally renowned Benoy, where he worked on projects across the UK, Europe and in India. Having worked across various sectors including residential, retail, aviation and refurbishment for 15 years, Cunnington’s experience enhances the team’s broad skill set.

James said:

“Working at Player Roberts Bell gives me the chance to be fully involved with interesting, well-designed projects in the local area and beyond. It’s an exciting team to be part of, and it gives me the chance to be an integral part of a developing practice and make a positive difference.”

Claire has spent the past decade in business management roles, including a spell as studio manager at Purcell. She also has previous experience as head of people at a web design and development agency, as well as managing sales support for the UK offices of an Australian manufacturing company.

Claire said:

“Player Roberts Bell immediately stands out as disruptive business, operating in a much more forward-thinking way to traditional architecture practices. There is an excellent culture around the business, which puts people at its heart. The team is incredibly talented, and I’m delighted to be able to assist as the firm grows.”

Aiden Bell, director at Player Roberts Bell, said:

“We’re delighted to welcome James and Claire to the team. We’ve seen steady growth in terms of projects over the past few months, and bringing these guys in will supplement the existing team and puts us in a great place to deliver both our current workload and the projects we have in the pipeline.”
