The Small Business Recovery Grant through the Business Gateway Growth Hub is now open.

Grants from £1,000 to £3,000 are available for SME’s in Leicester and Leicesterhsire.
In order to access this grant, the SME’s must clearly demonstrate the impact of Covid-19 on their business and how the proposed activity will help address this impact for their business.

Please note that applications will be open until 30th September 2020 unless the funding allocation is committed prior to this date. Completion of an application form is not a guarantee funding will be awarded. Applications will be assessed on 1st come 1st served basis, based on eligibility, fit to the funding criteria and submission of fully completed application form with supporting documentation (including 3 quotes for purchases).
KICKSTART SCHEME:

You may be aware that the government has released further information about their kickstart employement scheme in which businesses of all sizes can apply to create quality roles for young people at risk of long-term unemployment. The roles need to be new positions and should support the young people in gaining the skills and experience to find work at the end of the scheme. **
The Government will fund 100% of the relevant National Minimum Wage for 25 hours a week, plus associated employer National Insurance contributions and employer minimum automatic enrolment contributions. In addition, businesses taking on a Kickstart candidate can apply for £1,500 per job placement available for setup costs, support and training.**
Funding is available following a successful application process. Applications must be for a minimum of 30 job placements.

The East Midlands Chamber will be acting as a registered intermediary for businesses who will not be able to meet the minimum 30 placement requirement.
