Launch Event Announced for £34M Amber Valley Development

An East Midlands property developer has announced the official launch of the first phase of houses for its £34million Amber Valley development. Peter James Homes, which began work on the Woodland Heights site in Bullbridge near Crich at the end of July, is to hold an appointment-only launch event at The Hurt Arms in Ambergate on 30th September alongside Bagshaw Residential, who will be handling the sales. The event will enable potential buyers to get a first look at the 148-house development, to begin the customisation process and to formally reserve a plot, with the first of the new homes due for completion in July 2021. Kerri Bywater of Bagshaw Residential said: “In addition to colour brochures with layouts and floor plans, there will be CGI images to help immerse people in the virtual site, so they can get a real sense for how special it will be. “People will even be able to explore virtual kitchens in their favoured house styles, enabling them to pick the facilities, the materials and the finishes and to formulate fully bespoke plans.” The 22-acre Woodland Heights development will consist of 2, 3, 4 and 5 bedroom houses, ranging from £190,000 to £500,000. A mix of materials and construction types will be used to help create a friendly and accessible ‘village’ feel. The site will also use a series of plateaus and retaining walls to add individuality and interest to the pretty hillside setting and to help make the very most of the lovely views across the valley. With the Rivers Amber and Derwent on its doorstep and its verdant woodland setting amongst some of Derbyshire’s finest countryside, it is clear that Woodland Heights will prove appealing to outdoor lovers, mountain bikers and walkers. However, it is also within easy striking distance of some key regional towns and cities, like Derby, Belper, Matlock and Nottingham and, according to Simon Gardiner, managing director at Peter James Homes, that will make it as attractive to city professionals as first-time buyers and young families. Simon said: “This is no everyday housing estate. With its vertical elevation, its riverside walks, its interesting house styles and its amazing countryside views, it will be a really fantastic place to live.” Established in 2012, Peter James Homes has built its reputation on the basis of flexible, durable, long-lasting homes that work within their surroundings and meet the needs of modern day living.
