Quiet Storm gears up for studio return

Quiet Storm gears up for studio return

Steve Megson and Phil Megson with their IOSH Health & Safety certificates having passed the course which included making the workspace COVID safe and keeping your employees safe.

As lockdown restrictions continue to ease, the team at Quiet Storm has been busy working behind the scenes to get our head office ready to reopen to our clients, visitors and staff.

While we have been able to remain open, work remotely and continue to provide a full service to our clients during lockdown, we are preparing to bring our team back to the office soon.

We have taken advantage of the studio being empty to redecorate it from top to bottom with new, vibrant colours and have repainted the exterior. The office has also been deep cleaned ready for when we welcome the team back.

We’ve followed the Government’s latest guidelines closely, have carried out a full COVID-19 risk assessment and put the necessary measures in place to protect our clients and staff. These include:

  • installing a bespoke Perspex screen in our reception area to protect colleagues and visitors
  • redesigning the layout of our floor space to maintain social distancing
  • implementing a one-way system throughout the building
  • putting up information signage at all risk points to make people aware of the safety measures we have in place.

A new cleaning regime is also in place and signed-off after each clean.

Hand sanitiser points are available throughout the studio, for clients and the team.

We have also introduced clean air procedures in place to maximise airflow through the studio.

The world of work is changing

Our Managing Director, Steve Megson, said: “The world around us has changed dramatically since March, but rather than view it as a challenge, we’ve looked upon it as an opportunity to refocus our business and our ways of working.

“We’ve been fortunate enough to be able to continue working through lockdown, using technology to enable the team to stay connected and provide our clients with the service and solutions they have come to expect from us.

“As a management team, we have used the time lockdown has given us productively to reconfigure the office layout so we are compliant with social distancing, and make the studio a safe and comfortable environment for our staff and visitors for when we reopen.

“The need to work remotely has enabled us, as a business, to become more flexible and agile, but the return to the workplace means we can reconnect the team and engage with our clients in a way that suits them, be that virtually or in-person.”
