Reshaping the Business to Meet Further Growth in the North East

Baldwins Group, one of the UK’s fastest growing accountancy and business advisory firms, is pleased to announce that it has won IAMCATZ Ltd., which trades as Smart Outdoors, as a new client in its North East region. Based in Tyne and Wear, the Company provides out of home advertising solutions, such as the provision of outdoor screens, in city or shopping centres, for transport and at events, as well as providing campaign planning and media buying services. IAMCATZ has seen rapid growth in recent months on the back of substantial new contracts, with companies including JD Sports and American Golf and has seen growth in its international business importing hand sanitiser stands for public, community and commercial outlets. This growth has resulted in the need for a fresh approach to its financial management to support the business going forward. The Baldwins team, led by Brian Logan, a consultant based in the Sunderland office, was able to offer the board a complete breakdown of the business and give advice to support its ongoing funding, tax and financial requirements to meet its new commitments. Andrew Grundy, Baldwins’ Banking and Finance specialist, was also able to support the successful application of a CBILs loan, as part of the Company’s immediate funding needs and longer term investment plans. Commenting, Mark Catterall, founder of IAMCATZ, said: “Baldwins was able to provide us with the support we needed, in a way that remained very personal and local. We’ve been through a period of rapid growth and that meant looking at the business differently to ensure we had the financial foundations in place to meet that change and continue to grow. That meant working with a team that was as much a business advisor to the board as it was a support to our finance function. The breadth of services and experience we are able to draw on at Baldwins has given us the comfort and surety we needed to focus on the continued growth and development of the business.” Brian Logan, consultant at Baldwins Accountancy, added: “IAMCATZ is a perfect example of a business where the Baldwins service really comes into its own. We pride ourselves on providing a local, individual led team, but can draw on a national business that has the ability to provide clients with a comprehensive accounting and business advisory service, that ensures they have the structures in place to deliver on their hopes and ambitions.”
