NOTTINGHAM LAW FIRM INCREASES SUPPORT HELPING BUSINESS BOSSES GET BREXIT READY

A Nottingham law firm is taking on new staff and expanding its office space, as it helps business bosses get ready for the new immigration rules after Brexit.

OTB Legal, a specialist immigration law firm, is adding three new members to its team, has acquired more space in its current office on Chase Park and is ensuring its corporate division is at full strength, to support companies in the run up to Brexit and beyond.

The latest government guidance states the UK is still on track to leave the EU at the end of the year, despite suggestions that the new immigration rules would be delayed because of COVID-19.

If employers are not ready for the forthcoming changes which sees the restriction of movement for EU citizens, it could have a dramatic effect on their future growth and recruitment plans, leaving them unable to employ who they want, when they want to. 

Aldijana Hoad, director at OTB Legal said: “Brexit is probably the last thing many of us have been thinking about recently and we understand that for some businesses, the future is uncertain.

“But given that COVID-19 has so far not affected the government plans to exit the EU, our advice to bosses is to start thinking about how any changes to the immigration laws will affect their companies.”

The team at OTB Legal is ready to support businesses through these changes, with Aldijana now joining her fellow director Sally McEwen, to jointly head up the corporate division.

Director Mark Lilley-Tams will take charge of the private and family department and is looking to build his team with the recruitment of additional staff.
