RISK & Safety Management Services Ltd are the first company in the World to book delegates on to the NEBOSH General Certificate Open Book Exam, which is scheduled for 6th August 2020.
NEBOSH is the National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health, UK-based in Leicester, they are a globally recognised independent examination board. Over 200000 people hold a NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety across the World. Why? Because it's the gold standard in vocational qualifications in health, safety and environmental practice and management. Like any other organisation is has had to adapt to the pandemic, and on the 9th July it announce huge changes to the way it's flagship qualification was to be examined. The NEBOSH General Certificate can now be taught remotely, online via video conferencing. With the examination in an all new open book format, open to the delegate for a 24 hour window. This is important as the exams run the same 24 hours for all delegates sitting it across the World.

So when NEBOSH initially announced the idea, RISK were very supporting and shared with NEBOSH learnings from their experiences gained working through the pandemic.
The COVID pandemic has changed face to face training and we had two adapt or die. To have three firsts in less than 6 week delivering training in a new way for what is the 'new norm' is testimony to the people in the business. This new format open book exam is a great step forward for the industry, it makes the flagship qualification relevant to how people learn and work in todays World.

The first 'World open book exam' for the new format NEBOSH General Certificate is 09:00am – 6th August 2020, window for submission will close at 0900 on the 7th August 2020. RISK have two cohorts of learners already booked on the exam, and are delivering a revised NG1 courses, 5 day tutor led training remotely online using zoom video conferencing. RISK who scooped two prestigious awards in 2019, the East Midlands Chamber ecommerce award for Nottinghamshire businesses, and the Nachural Entrepreneurship Awards 2019 Small Business of the Year at their East Midlands final at the Maher Centre, Leicester.
