DAVID WILSON HOMES SITE MANAGER IN BINGHAM RECOGNISED AMONGST BEST IN THE COUNTRY

Alongside the good news that David Wilson Homes is back building and selling homes in Bingham, a Site Manager has won a top national award for quality from the National House Building Council (NHBC).

Dane Mumford (34), from Nottingham, has won a prestigious NHBC Pride in the Job Quality award for his work at Romans’ Quarter in Bingham.

He’s been with David Wilson Homes for over six years and this is his third consecutive Pride in the Job Quality award, having previously earned the accolade at the Kingston Banks development in East Leake.

Dane said: “We’ve built two-thirds of Romans’ Quarter in the last year and due to the greater volume of properties, this has been the most difficult award to win which makes it more rewarding.

“It’s a pleasure to work in Bingham as it’s an excellent location. I’ve got a great team alongside me and I especially appreciate the support of my Assistant Site Manager, John Carpenter, who’s been with me for all three Pride in the Job awards.

“The last few months have been a challenge and it was almost like starting a new job again returning onsite, but it’s nice to get back on track and being recognised with an award is the cherry on top for me.”

Now in their 40th year, the awards - considered to be the “Oscars of the housebuilding industry” - recognise the very best Site Managers from around the country.

In total, parent company Barratt Developments’ Site Managers won 92 Pride in the Job Quality awards this year, more than every other housebuilder. Barratt has now won more Pride in the Job Quality awards for 16 years in a row, a record unmatched in the industry which shows its commitment to building homes of the highest quality.

Each Site Manager is judged on a range of key criteria including health and safety, their technical knowledge, customer service and attention to detail. Pride in the Job is the most highly regarded competition in the housebuilding industry with just 450 individual winners being chosen from over 11,000 entrants.

John Reddington, Managing Director at David Wilson Homes East Midlands, said: “Now that we are back building and selling homes again, it is great to see that Dane has been rated amongst the very best Site Managers in the country.

“It’s now more important than ever that customers have confidence in the homes they are buying, and the mark of a Pride in the Job Quality award shows that their home has been built to the highest of standards. We are very proud to have won more of these quality awards than any other housebuilder for 16 years in a row.”

There is currently a selection of four and five bedroom homes available at Romans’ Quarter, with prices starting from £319,995.
