Reading-based Alchemetrics, an agency with over 20 years’ expertise developing bespoke Customer Data Platforms, has become part of Xtremepush, a leading customer engagement, personalisation and data platform established in Dublin in 2014.
Tommy Kearns, CEO and co-founder of Xtremepush said the business is delighted to have completed the strategic acquisition.
“Working with Alchemetrics represents a significant step forward for Xtremepush, hugely expanding the range of services we can provide clients. From a capabilities perspective, it makes perfect sense, rounding out the data and decisioning aspects of our platform. The expertise that Alchemetrics brings to the table in this regard is unrivalled. Its team has been at the cutting-edge of innovative customer data solutions for over 20 years”.
Alchemetrics will continue to operate from its UK base, working also with its team of developers in Vilnius, Lithuania, one of Europe’s most innovative tech hubs. The business specialises in building and managing bespoke Customer Data Platforms for globally recognised enterprises. This highly-prized capability will now be available as part of the overall Xtremepush platform, as well as being offered as a standalone product.
CEO of Alchemetrics, Dave Gurney, says both companies share a passion for customer-centric service, favouring a partner-approach to doing business.
“From our earliest meetings, it was obvious the two companies were aligned and complemented one another. Our long-standing partnership, and shared clients, made this a natural move and will allow us to quickly integrate our services and products at pace. We are delighted to be joining one of the world’s most ambitious and dynamic technology vendors. I believe that together we can achieve something special, and, importantly, deliver phenomenal value and ROI for our customers”.
Both companies already share a number of high-profile clients including McDonalds, Benugo, William Grant & Sons, Puttshack and ICSA (UK governance institute). Since the acquisition earlier this month, Xtremepush has already won a significant new client in A.F.C Wimbledon.
The new alliance sees Xtremepush increase its workforce to 70, with that figure set to rise in the coming months. All existing Alchemetrics staff will be retained in the business move.
Xtremepush is continually adding to its service offering and Tommy Kearns says the Irish owned tech firm is following an exciting product roadmap.
“Our aim has always been to offer a single, unified platform for understanding, engagement and decisioning. By bringing a company of Alchemetrics’ calibre into the fold, we now have a comprehensive tech stack that few, if any, of our rivals can match”.
The acquisition enables Xtremepush to bolster its customer engagement, personalisation and data platform in key areas. It is particularly beneficial in cross-channel customer identification and next-best-action decisioning, two integral components of a next-generation engagement platform.
The firm’s modular platform allows brands reach new customers and communicate more effectively with existing ones through automated, real-time and relevant messaging. It offers rich engagement capabilities across email, SMS, mobile app, website, social messengers and A.I. chatbots.
The new business alliance will also prove invaluable to clients from a compliance point-of-view. Under the EU’s GDPR (and similar data-privacy legislation elsewhere), brands are obliged to provide customers with complete visibility of, and access to, their data. Without a solution such as that offered by Xtremepush, this is a difficult task fraught with potential security risks.
From its Irish headquarters, Xtremepush services a global portfolio of brands across multiple verticals including retail banking, eCommerce, travel and transport, publishing and media, and sports betting and gaming. The company has offices in the UK, North America and throughout Central and Eastern Europe, with plans to further increase its footprint over the coming years.
Formed in 2014 by Tommy Kearns and CTO, Dr. Kevin Collins, Xtremepush has enjoyed 100% year-on-year growth practically ever since.
Global acquisition targets have complemented Xtremepush client service since the successful 2018 acquisition of Emailcenter, the U.K. email service provider.
The company has steadily collected accolades and garnered industry-recognition too. In July 2019, it was recommended in Gartner’s Magic Quadrant for Mobile Marketing Platforms, an unprecedented achievement for a relatively young and non-VC backed company.
