Bondholders win national advertising competition

Two Bondholders are celebrating their success in winning a coveted place in the Mail Metro FSB advertising competition, worth £3,000.

A recent study by the Federation of Small Business (FSB) into 5000 businesses revealed the importance of aid packages, finding that one in three small firms that have temporarily shut during the lockdown may never reopen.  Therefore, they joined forces with the Mail Metro Media to give small businesses who have been affected by the COVID-19 crisis a chance to receive a £3,000 tailored advertising package, free of charge, with potential to reach millions of customers.

Mail Metro Media is the advertising division of dmg media, representing some of the UK’s most popular media brands: Daily Mail, The Mail on Sunday, MailOnline, Metro, Metro.co.uk and the newly acquired i news brand.  The competition was open to all small businesses on 13 May 2020 and of the 6,000 applications received in just four days, 1,600 winners were announced.

Rachel Hayward, from Ask the Chameleon, spotted the competition as part of her FSB membership.  She said:

“I knew competition would be fierce, but it didn’t deter me.  I am delighted that they would choose a range of different small and micro businesses such as mine.  I am really looking forward to the experience”

Rachel also recommended the competition to Lee Marples from think3. Lee said:

”Businesses of all sizes have been affected by COVID-19 and without the recommendation from Rachel we more than likely wouldn’t have known about the competition.

"We didn’t necessarily expect to get anything but you’ve got to be in it to win it. We’ve grown our business organically since 2019 and this gives us an opportunity to really showcase what we can do with a national advertising campaign.”
