NG turns on tap to mid-lockdown deal in Derby

Commercial property specialists NG Chartered Surveyors have secured the letting of 26 Cottonbook Road, Sir Francis Ley Industrial Estate, Derby to Universal Bathrooms.

The deal for the 3,982 sq ft unit was completed during the national lockdown due to the outbreak of Covid-19.

James McArthur, director at NG Chartered Surveyors, purchased this property on behalf of his client at the end of 2019 as new addition to their expanding investment portfolio. After advising them of a schedule of refurbishment he has now secured the tenant quickly after completion of the works.

James said:

"This letting shows that the market for small, well-located quality industrial units is still strong. These units present very well after the refurbishment carried out by my client and as a result we were able to secure the letting very quickly.

“Unit 26a Cottonbrook Road remains available. We are starting to see interest pick up as we come close to the end of the second month of lockdown and I am confident that this unit will let quickly."

Landlord Richard Goodman said:

"The advice received by James and NG Chartered Surveyors has been spot on, which has ended in a fantastic result. James has been readily available at all times and provided expert advice - not only on the letting of this property, but the whole portfolio he manages on our behalf.I could not ask for more in these challenging times.”
