Launch of CJRS Service Offer Freeing-up Client Time to Focus on Running their Business

Baldwins, Wilkins Kennedy and Campbell Dallas are pleased to announce the launch of a new service aimed at supporting clients through the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme (“CJRS”) application and process. Baldwins, Wilkins Kennedy and Campbell Dallas are all part of Cogital, the accountancy and business advisory group.

The service is aimed at freeing-up client management time so it can be better used in support of the business during the period of the CJRS. There are two levels of provision under the paid for service, the ‘Pro Service’ and the ‘Intermediate Service’. 

Under the ‘Pro’ level service, clients will be provided with a bespoke report, detailing each necessary calculation required for a CJRS claim. Following client approval, the claims process will be administered on the clients’ behalf, with the required data input into the HMRC Agent Portal. Under the CJRS, companies with less than 100 employees, are required to manually input the data for each employee individually.

Under the ‘Intermediate’ service, clients will be provided with the necessary calculations for each of their employees. The calculations will be provided in the form of a bespoke report, that provides the data needed to calculate the claim figure. The package is aimed at clients who wish to administer the claims process themselves through the HMRC Agent Portal.

The service was launched at the Group’s webinar into the government’s CJRS scheme, in time for the opening of the HMRC Portal. The webinar was attended by 1,400 companies and management teams.

The CJRS scheme was announced by the government on Friday 20th March. It is an unprecedented package of measures aimed at supporting employers to enable them to retain employees during the period of the scheme. The scheme, open from 1st March, 2020, was initially open for a period of 3 month but that time has now been extended to 4 months.

“It is becoming apparent that the CJRS scheme is complex in terms of the correct calculations and time consuming for employers to process claims through the portal, especially those with a high volume of employees who have been furloughed. The aim of this offer is to take the weight of that burden off the shoulders of our clients, allowing them to focus their time on running their business and putting it in the very best possible position to thrive when business returns to a sense of normality”.
