Guy Schanschieff, Managing Director of Northampton based Bambino Mio, the global reusable nappy brand, won the International category last year and went on to triumph in the same category at the national finals.

Guy said:

“I was thrilled to be named the International Director of the Year at the 2019 IoD Awards because I truly believe that there's real purpose to what we're doing at Bambino Mio. Entering the IoD awards gave me the opportunity to talk about all of the impactful work that we’re carrying out at an international level.

“Winning this award recognises the fact that Bambino Mio is helping to drive positive social change around the world, which is something that we are extremely proud of. It’s important that we continue our mission to raise awareness of the numerous benefits that reusable nappies have on our environment, finances, and baby by educating people across the globe.”

Jake Third, Client Services Director of Hallam Internet, Nottingham, was joint winner of the Young Director category in 2019 and was Highly Commended for Young Director in the national finals.   Natalie Sykes, regional director for the IoD East Midlands, said:

“Winning one of our awards is a fantastic accolade and those who triumph go on to compete at the IoD’s UK finals. Please do encourage each other as business leaders to enter the awards so we can showcase the fantastic leadership and work being done right across the East Midlands.”

The deadline for nominations is Friday 30 April while the deadline to enter the awards is Friday 29 May. Apply here: www.iodawards.com/eastmidlands
