Morley Hayes To Offer Existing Golf Members Free Membership For 2021

Derbyshire golf, hotel and leisure complex, Morley Hayes is supporting its golfing community by offering its members a free membership for the 2021 - 2022 season.

The complex on Main Road in Morley is making the gesture to thank golfers for their continued loyalty as they are currently unable to use the facilities due to the current coronavirus pandemic.

Existing members who have prepaid and those golfers who continue to pay via direct debit or standing order will receive a complimentary membership for the 2021 - 2022 season.

Over the last 18 months, the golf complex at Morley Hayes has been the subject of significant investment, with the redevelopment of the driving range and the construction of the new Tower Café.

Phase two of the extension to the driving range has seen the completion of seven new bays to be followed by the addition of a dedicated area for wheelchair golfers and new teaching facilities for East Midlands Golf Academy.

Complimentary golf membership

The complimentary golf membership is one of a number of initiatives introduced by owners Andrew and Robert Allsop to ensure Morley Hayes continues to serve its local communities during the current coronavirus pandemic.

This includes the launch of a new takeaway service and a delivery service within five miles of the Morley Hayes complex. The menu includes a variety of hot and cold meals and other essentials.

The luxury four-star Morley Hayes hotel is now open to key workers who are looking for a place to stay closer to work or somewhere to rest and relax, or people whose company needs them to self-isolate.

To ensure the health and safety of guests and staff, Morley Hayes has introduced contactless check-ins with a Perspex shield between staff and guests, hand sanitising stations across the complex and strict distancing guidelines.

Commenting on the complimentary golf membership, Andrew Allsop, managing director of Morley Hayes said:

“It’s unfortunate that our members cannot get full use of their golf membership because of the current lock-down.

“To thank them for their loyalty, we want to give existing members a complimentary membership for the 2021 – 2022 season, so they can enjoy our superb facilities once the lock-down is over.

“Our team of greenkeepers and are busy preparing our Manor and Tower courses, so we’re ready to go when we get the green light to commence play again. The team are working split shifts and are maintaining social distancing at all times.

“We would like to thank our golfers for their continued loyalty and look forward to welcoming you all back again very soon.”
