Hospitality students host Italian theme night

Degree-level hospitality students at Nottingham College are running an Italian-themed restaurant takeover evening, at the College’s Adams Restaurant on Stoney Street in Nottingham’s Lace Market.

The takeover will take place on Thursday 19 March, and the students will use their hospitality knowledge and experience to supervise the front of house and look after the customers on the night.

The Foundation Degree students have created a unique five-course tasting menu in consultation with the College’s Head Chef. It’s priced at £22.95 per person and diners will be able to enjoy minestrone alla Milanese, which is a distinctive take on minestrone soup, followed by crispy fried cod with cauliflower ‘affogato’ and lemon aioli.

Also on the menu is braciole, an Italian favourite consisting of slow-cooked beef stuffed with mozzarella and simmered in a rich tomato sauce. To finish, the students will serve up a palate cleanser of blood orange sorbet, and a sorrel panna cotta with compressed strawberries and shortbread crumb.

People can view the full menu on the College’s website. Tables are available for seating from 6pm to 7.30pm. To book call 0115 910 4510.
