An evening of sustainable style for International Women’s Day - Rethink your wardrobe at our charity fundraiser with quality vintage, preloved & new fashion, bags & accessories

Celebrate International Women’s Day in style whilst raising money for local charities and doing your bit for sustainability. As one of the world's most polluting industries, fashion has some major sustainability problems.

Positive change is urgently needed. Three local businesswomen who love clothes and care about the environment have come together to run a fashion event called Rethinking Fashion on Thursday 12th March. Bringing together unique vintage sellers, independent fashion retailers and women who are decluttering their wardrobes, the event will offer clothes for sale from the past to present day. Female stylists will be sharing their top tips on decluttering your wardrobe, how to upcycle clothing and how to buy those investment pieces to follow the top trends for 2020. We will toast to a more sustainable future with a glass of prosecco before the night is out.

“This event is about making sustainable fashion fun and giving women the confidence to find new looks and follow new trends through pre-loved clothes”

Emma, co-founder of Think in NG.

The two women’s charities we are excited to partner with for this event are:

Juno Women's Aid which empowers women, children and teenagers to live free from abuse.
Skilled Hands which empowers unemployed women, stay home mums, women in isolation and depression through artisan craft workshops. They will use money donated to put on a fashion show in July. Find out more in this brief film.

“Decluttering has never felt so good. I've spotted some clothes in my wardrobe that someone else could love and the money raised from this event goes towards two great Nottingham women’s charities.”

Jeanne, co-founder of Think in NG and Nottingham's Blue Stockings network for female entrepreneurs.

There is more information on the event at www.thinkinng.org and you can purchase tickets from

Rethinking Fashion takes place at 6.45-9.30pm on Thursday March 12th at THiNK in NG, Cobden Place, Cobden Chambers, off Pelham Street, Nottingham, NG1 2ED.
