Marco Pierre White to host lunch at Kegworth restaurant

Fans of Marco Pierre White can meet the man in person as he pays a visit to his New York Italian restaurant in Kegworth.

Regarded by many to be the greatest UK chef, White will be popping into the restaurant which is located at the Yew Lodge Hotel on Packington Hill for lunch service on Wednesday 15 April, where he’ll meet and greet diners, sign copies of his books and chat about the restaurant and all things cooking.

Heather Thornton, director of sales and marketing said:

“This will be Marco’s first lunch visit to Kegworth so we’re very excited that he’s coming. It’ll be a great experience not only for the staff but also for those lucky enough to reserve a space.”

Reflecting Marco’s passion for classic, simple, authentic food, guests can now look forward to enjoying a mix of Italian-inspired dishes and American classics from a menu created personally by Marco himself while also getting a signed copy of one of his books.

Marco said:

“The New York Italian represents friendly, all-occasion, elegant dining and gives people of the area a great place to go out and eat.

“The menu offers a fresh alternative, where authentic, uncomplicated food is served promptly. We want groups of friends and couples to come in to enjoy lunch or dinner or to celebrate a special occasion.

“It’s not pretentious, it’s just good food, served in a great environment.”

Heather added:

“Marco Pierre White wasn’t labelled the Godfather of Modern cooking for no reason and it’s incredibly exciting to welcome him here on the 15 April.

“There’s going to be a real buzz of excitement on the day and we’re expecting to sell-out, so anyone interested should get in touch soon. The level of interest has been amazing so news that he is coming to visit will send our bookings on the brink of melting point!”
