Homebuilder shows commitment to Market Harborough with over £2m investment

As part of the planning agreement for its new development at Burnmill Farm, David Wilson Homes is set to invest more than £2 million in and around the Leicestershire town of Market Harborough.

Totalling £2,017,883, the funding will be contributed towards the development’s surrounding areas and will be used to support services and enhance the local facilities for current and new residents within the community.

Contributions include over £830,000 towards the area’s primary and secondary education amenities and £640,000 will be given to Market Harborough Town Centre Highways. Other facilities will be brought to the area thanks to the development, including a brand new play area and the creation of public open spaces.

John Reddington, Managing Director at David Wilson Homes East Midlands, said:

“We see an investment into the areas in which we build as both a key responsibility and a priority, helping to support the local community and offer our support wherever we can.

“Showing a financial commitment to local communities is a significant part of building a new homes development, through contributions to education and community facilities amongst many.

“As our Market Harborough development progresses, we will not only be supporting the area financially, but also through the jobs we have created for local people and the quality homes we are building.”

Burnmill Grange will soon offer a collection of two to five bedroom homes set in a quiet suburb of the market town. With tree-lined views to the north, these homes create the ideal release from a hectic working lifestyle, with everyday amenities within walking distance.
