Local Company Invests £1m to Grow and Create Jobs

While many businesses have not made investment decisions because of uncertainty and lack of confidence brought about by Brexit. ADS Laser Cutting Ltd based in Leicester, an engineering business, has invested in a new metal laser cutting machine from manufacturer Trumpf at a cost of £1m.

The investment will help ADS continue their growth and in doing so provide new jobs locally.

The new Laser Cutting machine is state of the art and will cut thicker metal and quicker whilst maintaining high levels of quality. The company, which is the premier metal laser cutting, folding, fabricating and finisher in the UK says,

“This will keep us ahead in our markets and enable us to extend our machines’ capabilities. We have worked with Trumpf for several years and the quality of their lasers and support is excellent.”

Over the years Laser Cutting Metal has grown significantly as an industry and ADS’s approach to provide everything from Bespoke one off projects, like Individual Control Consoles for some of the World’s major companies, to volume projects like components for modular Building Balconies, means they can provide a complete solution for a range of customers.

Duncan Keates and his brother Stephen who started ADS Laser in 2005 commented,

“We have grown the business by listening to our customers, supplying high quality products and solutions backed by excellent customer experience, but above all employing great people. From a handful of us in 2005 we now have over 60 employees and this new laser cutter will propel us to over 70 this year. We have never been a company who stands still and whatever the outcome of Brexit negotiations, we need to be competitive by having the latest technology and continuing our investment."
