Inspiring Business by Sharing Success

Backing the region’s entrepreneurs

Backing the region’s entrepreneurs

Supporting our fellow small businesses and celebrating the successes of local entrepreneurs is something we feel passionately about here at Quiet Storm, so we were delighted to back this year’s Nachural Entrepreneurship Awards.

The region-wide scheme, organised by events and media production company Nachural, aims to recognise and reward the achievements of some of the East Midlands' most enterprising individuals, across ten award categories.

The awards, set against a backdrop of economic uncertainty at national level, are all about celebrating the ideas, innovation and strategic thinking of local entrepreneurs to business leaders, the media and investors across the East Midlands and beyond.

Cultivating the entrepreneurial spirit in the fast-changing world drives economic growth and a determination that has to be recognised and encouraged.

Celebrating business risk-takers

Entrepreneurs in business take risks in times of economic uncertainty, provide employment, sustainability and wealth creation and are considered the backbone of the UK economy.

The awards present the opportunity to listen to the latest in business and economic developments from key business leaders at the sharp end of the region's economy, while acknowledging the powerhouse of businesses and SMEs in the region.

The winners were announced at a glittering black-tie gala dinner, at the Maher Centre, Leicester, in September.

Quiet Storm provided backing by helping to promote the event through our Love Business News channels, as well as being a category sponsor.

And we were also delighted to nominate three of our good friends – Gemma Orton, of Mocha Communicates, Richard Shakespeare, of Workplace Diversity Solutions, and Mike Adams, of RISK Health & Safety, all of whom walked away with awards on the night.

Ninder Johal DL, Managing Director of Nachural, said:

“The Nachural Entrepreneurship Awards were created to connect, influence and celebrate the excellent entrepreneurial activity that is driven by businesses across the East Midlands.

“We believe it’s vital to showcase the vibrant business community in the East Midlands so were delighted to have the backing of Quiet Storm and Love Business, who share the same values as us.”

Quiet Storm Managing Director Steve Megson added:

“These awards really touch and engage people; they stimulate collaboration, and this drives economic growth.

“Local entrepreneurs need to be celebrated, which is why were pleased to back this year’s awards.”
