Paul begins a further one-year term with the Council, during which he will draw on his experience of the local employment landscape, as well as providing insights into the current outlook and skills requirements from employers.
The CBI has twelve Regional and National Councils and holds elections for its members each year to help shape CBI policy. Council members have a direct say in what the CBI does as well as inputting evidence to drive policy development and CBI campaigns for change.
Commenting on his appointment, Paul said
“Being an active member of the local business community and having worked with the CBI for many years, I’m looking forward to continuing to make a positive contribution to help the CBI tackle key issues affecting businesses across the East Midlands.
"We have 11 offices across the Midlands alone, so providing our staff with the policy, business and political intelligence supported by the CBI is invaluable. My re-election to the Council will ensure we can not only stay in the know ourselves, but also keep our clients informed on topical issues.”
