Wise Living and Keon Homes joins forces fop BTR Scheme

Wise Living, the SDL Group’s build-to-rent (BTR) division, has announced a new partnership with Keon Homes.

The news follows a £33 million boost from ICG-Longbow last October to support Wise Living’s ambitions of working with leading developers to deliver high-quality, well-managed and affordable rental homes throughout the UK, raising standards in the industry. A further £100 million funding from investment manager Triple Point was also secured this January.

With its funding and land-purchasing expertise Keon Homes works with partners including Registered Providers and Local Authorities to build social housing schemes and homes for the PRS market. Built on a foundation of forming strong industry relationships, Wise Living and Keon Homes’ ethos is mirrored both through their business models and the properties they build and manage.

The new collaboration will see the two companies join forces on Wise Living’s new Coventry development, which is due to launch next year. Work has just begun on Tile Hill, which will bring 40 brand-new one and two-bedroom apartments to the West Midlands with the launch date planned for Spring 2021.

Wise Living already has several BTR schemes nationwide including in Birkenhead, Telford and Mansfield. Together with Staffordshire-based Keon Homes, Wise Living will now expand further into the midlands, giving local residents the opportunity to rent properties that provide a high standard of living.

Andy Pass, development director at Wise Living, said:

“2020 is set to be a big year for Wise Living and we’re thrilled to start it off strong. Our partnership with Keon Homes is exactly why securing the £33 million investment was so important for us, enabling us to move forward with our strategy of working with leading industry experts to deliver thriving communities and build thousands more properties across the UK. We’re confident that our values are aligned, meaning we’re both working towards a common goal which will make this and future schemes a success.”

Warren Bolton at Keon Homes added; “Building strong and trusting relationships with both our customers and professional partners is key to our operations, so we were pleased when the opportunity came to work with Wise Living, who share these values. We hope to make a real impact together in the region in 2020 and beyond.”
