Three charities to benefit from local accountancy firm’s fundraisers

Nottingham-based accountants Page Kirk LLP have once again made a generous charitable donation following epic fundraising efforts by staff.

The team in Gregory Boulevard spent 2019 organising a host of events to support no fewer than three good causes. As a result, they’ve been able to split over a thousand pounds between The Dyslexia Association, Nottinghamshire Hospice and Artcore.

The fundraising initiatives were organised by the firm’s Head Receptionist, Amanda Willis, and included a Great Page Kirk Bake-Off, as well as events to mark Easter, Halloween and Christmas.

“It was great to get involved in organising another year of fundraising activity,” says Amanda. “Everyone in the firm is always keen to get involved – especially when they hear about the good causes we’re helping. It creates a great spirit and gives us all a real sense of pride. We hope that the charities are able to use our money to make a difference where it’s most needed.”

The Dyslexia Association provides support and services for both children and adults with the condition, as well as parents and families, educators, employers and the wider community. Nottinghamshire Hospice was founded 40 years ago and delivers palliative care in a community setting for adults with terminal or life-limiting illnesses. It also helps their families and carers. Artcore, meanwhile, uses arts and crafts as a way of strengthening communities and providing a platform for development.

The total money raised for the three charities was £1,138.48. Page Kirk will shortly announce the causes they intend to support during 2020.
