Leicestershire Event Management Agency celebrates 15th birthday with a rebrand

SJ Events was formed in 2005 by Sam Spillane with a clear aim to provide a straightforward but fun approach to event management.

The business provides events and travel experiences which allow businesses to engage with their audiences – both internal and external.

  • Swithland based SJ Events has rebranded its business
  • Conference and Incentive Travel specialists celebrates its 15th birthday in 2020
  • Rebrand is part of an aggressive growth plan for the business

SJ specialises in the delivery of conferences & meetings, incentive travel programmes, exhibitions & trade shows and gala dinners & celebrations. Their portfolio of events is delivered across the UK and worldwide.

The new brand is part of an ambitious growth plan for the business over the next five years. It involves the creation of a new company logo using fresh core brand colours and promoting key aspects of the SJ proposition.  This revolves around a creative approach to event delivery, using their experience to understand client needs and becoming a natural extension of the client’s team. As part of the rebrand, Leicester based digital design agency Bulb Studios have created a new website to help showcase the business.

Entering 2020, the company is enjoying its strongest confirmed pipeline of events yet, to take place across the UK and Europe over the coming 12 months.  It also has a healthy number of event enquiries it is currently following up.

Speaking about the business and the rebrand, Samantha Spillane, Managing Director, SJ Events said:

“It is hard to believe that it is 15 years since the start of SJ.  I then found out I was pregnant with my second child and it is fair to say that an awful lot has happened since then!   But our philosophy in the business remains the same – to offer a professional service to our clients, taking away the hassle and stress of event planning so that they can focus on their day jobs knowing that their event is in safe hands.

"Now feels like the right time to embark on the next stage of the business.  The rebrand is an evolution rather than a revolution, as we retain the core values that we have built our reputation on thus far.  Entering 2020 we have our strongest list of confirmed events to date and a number of other really positive conversations and enquiries from both existing and new clients. It provides a great foundation from which to grow the business further.”
