Housebuilder puts £3.4 million investment into Mickleover

An East Midlands housebuilder is contributing over £3.4 million to the Mickleover community.

Redrow Homes East Midlands, which has four showhomes open at its Hackwood Grange development in the Derby suburb, has confirmed that it is contributing over £3.4 million to the community.

The development is providing much-needed homes for local people including 290 new family homes and 60 affordable homes.

The investment includes £3 million towards education, including its contribution to a new school, Hackwood Primary Academy, which was recently completed, alongside further provision towards city and county secondary schools.

As part of Redrow Homes East Midlands’ commitment to creating thriving communities, a contribution of £78,000 will be made towards improving local leisure facilities, and £55,000 will go towards supporting the local community’s healthcare provision, which will benefit future residents and locals alike.

The housebuilder will also be contributing over £230,000 towards a new bus service over the next three years, alongside a £63,000 commitment to sustainable traffic and highway improvements.

Mary Timlin, Sales Director for Redrow Homes East Midlands, said:

“We are thrilled to be supporting the community of Mickleover and ensuring the sustainability of our popular Hackwood Grange development, while building much-needed homes in the region.

“Our four showhomes are open for people to view, and we’d encourage anyone in the market for a new home to pop in and find out what life could be like at our development in Mickleover.”

Hackwood Grange features a great range of family homes suited to all requirements and budgets, with prices starting from £259,950. Just two miles to the west of Derby, Mickleover has excellent connections, both into the city and across the region, while still retaining its Derbyshire village charm, surrounded by open farmland.
