Shed Grounds Maintenance welcomes new Marketing Assistant Sophie.

Chesterfield-based Shed Grounds Maintenance Ltd has strengthened its team by appointing a marketing and administration administrator to help support the continued growth of the company.

Sophie Unwin will be responsible for all aspects of marketing working alongside Nicky Botham, Company Secretary.

Nicky (pictured left, welcoming Sophie) has described the appointment as “a great assistance in the development of the company’s marketing strategy.”

Sophie completed a BSc in Events Management at the University of Lincoln gaining a First-Class Honours Degree. Whilst studying she developed a keen interest in marketing and took on active roles to advance her skills further. This included working on ‘The Colour Run’ in Lincoln, helping to promote the event through various marketing channels.

On completion of her degree in May 2019, Sophie decided that she wanted to follow her ambitions to look for an opportunity in marketing. Turning down positions with several other businesses, Sophie was delighted to be offered the opportunity of a marketing role with Shed in her hometown of Chesterfield.

Sophie has hit the ground running and is already involved in a full makeover of the company website and other marketing materials. She has taken over managing the company’s social media channels and has seen an increase in followers on Twitter and LinkedIn.

She said this week:

“Joining the Shed team is a fantastic opportunity for me. The directors have a very successful company and share my ambition and enthusiasm to help the business grow. I am pleased that Peter and Nicky will support my development further in the field of marketing.”

Shed Grounds Maintenance Ltd, which is a privately owned business based in Chesterfield, was launched in 2003. It now has a large portfolio of clients on a nationwide basis and provides grounds and exterior maintenance services to the commercial sector.
