Housebuilder's Christmas cards help Bingham pupil spread festive cheer

A creative pupil in Bingham won a Christmas card competition with David Wilson Homes to spruce up the festive season for their family and friends.

As part of the competition involving over 160 pupils at Robert Miles Infant School, Freya Wroblewski (6) was chosen as the winner thanks to her colourful design, entitled ‘Christmas Eve.’

Freya’s entry impressed the Sales Advisers at David Wilson Homes’ Romans’ Quarter development, located close to the school.

She was presented with a £25 book token for winning the competition, and also had her cards professionally printed so she could distribute them to family and friends before the big day.

The runners-up, Poppy (4) and Jude (4), also received prizes for their artistic entries.

Linda Barbuti, Head Teacher at Robert Miles Infant School, said:

“We were delighted that so many children entered the competition.  The standard was really high and choosing winners must have been very tricky.  We are very proud of the winners.”

Rachael Harrison, Sales Director at David Wilson Homes East Midlands, said:

“Christmas is a wonderful time of year when people come together and celebrate and we really wanted to involve the pupils of Robert Miles Infant School in a special project before the holidays.

“It was great to receive so many high quality entries to our Christmas card competition and whilst it was difficult to choose a winner, we’d like to congratulate Freya, Poppy and Jude on making the top three.”
