Spreading Christmas cheer: Five star housebuilder supports local nursing charity

Staff at Barratt Homes have been helping to spread the Christmas cheer by supporting local charity, Family Nurse Partnership in Northampton.

The housebuilder has collected and organised a number of hampers for the local voluntary programme that looks after young women in the area; pregnant with their first child.

The donation included nappies, baby wipes, dummies, clothing chocolates and all other kinds of care gifts for new mothers and their babies.

The Family Nurse Partnership Programme is a voluntary, intensive home visiting programme delivered to young women aged 18 years and under who are pregnant with their first child living in Northamptonshire.

The programme is delivered by specially trained family nurses who visit the family until the child’s second birthday.

The focus and education provided enables young parents to have a healthy pregnancy, improve their child’s health and be the best parent they can be. Through the family’s programme, individual cases will be “agenda matched” to ensure that they are receiving the best service tailored to their specific needs.

Alison Raine, Sales Director at Barratt Homes Northampton, said:

“As one of the country’s leading homebuilders, we feel it’s important to support the new and existing communities in and around our developments, all year round with Christmas being no exception.

“Our staff recognised the fantastic support that the Family Nurse Partnership provides for young families in Northampton and we’re pleased to have donated these hampers and look to do the same again next year.

“We’re happy to help support this organisation and help them to carry on having a very positive impact on young parents in Northamptonshire.”
