Homelessness charity receives cash boost from housebuilder

An accommodation project for homeless young people in Hinckley and Bosworth has received a welcome funding boost from a local housebuilder.

Hinckley Homeless Group runs Lawrence House hostel, off Wood Street, which offers accommodation for up to 12 young homeless people aged between 16 and 25.

The project received a £500 donation from housebuilder Bellway, which has its regional head office at Meridian Business Park in Leicester.

Louise Adams, Project Manager for Hinckley Homeless Group, said:

“We want to thank Bellway for their kind donation.

“At Hinckley Homeless Group we are committed to providing young homeless people with a safe and comfortable place to stay. Donations such as this one allows us to continue to do this.”

Carolyne Watkinson, Sales Director for Bellway East Midlands, said:

“Hinckley Homeless Group makes a huge difference to the lives of so many young homeless people, so we are really proud to be able to lend them a hand.

“We hope our donation will help them continue their work across Hinckley and Bosworth.”
