Hybrid vehicles are becoming increasingly popular among businesses which want to save costs and reduce their impact on the environment.

They offer significant savings on fuel costs and reduced CO2 emissions; lower tax and national insurance contributions for business drivers; a smooth, stress-free drive; and a host of other benefits.

The cars are petrol-electric, meaning they recharge themselves rather than needing to be plugged in. At least 50% of an average journey in a hybrid car is completed in electric mode, which means less fuel is consumed.

Self-charging hybrid technology eliminates range anxiety – the fear of running out of charge halfway through a journey – and means you get far more out of a hybrid vehicle than a normal car, more miles per gallon and more money saved, as well as wasting far less energy by adapting to suit your driving style.

Hybrid motoring provides a way for local firms to get more from their corporate fleet, reduce their CO2 emissions and take advantage of the tax benefits this brings.

In this episode of the Love Business Podcast, Adrian Martin, local business development manager of Lexus Derby, takes a closer look at this relatively new form of motoring technology and explains its business benefits.
