Baby group hosts spooky messy play thanks to housebuilders' donation

Five star housebuilder Barratt Homes has donated £1,000 to Brackley Baby Group which holds sessions every Monday and Thursday from 10am until 11am at Egerton Hall situated on The Brackens Development in Brackley, Northamptonshire.

The group, which is organised and ran by local resident Sarah Morrell, had a Halloween themed ‘Messy Play’ session at Brackley Baby Group on 31st October.

Sarah said:

“I am incredibly grateful to Barratt Homes for their generous donation which has helped to get the group started and means that as well as the regular Baby Group we can also host seasonal messy play sessions for children under five.

“We had over 50 people attend on Thursday which was amazing; it was definitely our most popular event so far!”

Messy play is a sensory experience that enables babies to experience and understand the smells and textures of the world whilst supporting their physical development as well as igniting curiosity and imagination.

Along with parents and babies, Brackley Town Mayor Councillor Anthony Bagot-Webb attended the event, he said:

“Barratt Homes has been a great supporter in helping to get this important group started.

“The event was incredibly well attended and I can assure you that everyone had  great fun with many needing a change of clothes afterwards – whereas all I needed was help getting up from the floor!”

The Brackens development is an established community situated close to the historic market town of Brackley. The final phase of four bedroom homes overlooking the glorious country park have been released and are ready to move in for Christmas. Prices start from £420,995.
