Multi-million pound partnership cemented in opening of new Derby office

A business partnership which is going to help inject millions into the Derbyshire economy has been cemented with the opening of a new office this month.

The property developers of the historic £150 million Nightingale Quarter scheme have joined in celebrations with haart as they open the doors to their new Derbyshire Property Centre.

The office, which is based on the corner of Cornmarket with Albert Street, has trebled in size with the move from St James’ Street, and has shown the companies confidence in the housing market within the region.

haart was chosen by Wavensmere Homes earlier this year to sell the 800-home Nightingale Quarter development which is set to break ground this autumn. This partnership has not only expanded haarts workforce within Derby, but will eventually employ hundreds of people, including builders and contractors as work begins.

Donna Smith, Sales Director of Wavensmere Homes said:

“This partnership is worth millions to the local economy and the office will act as the central hub for this. We are so proud of this partnership as haart was by far the top choice for us to help people find their dream homes. This new office space is fantastic and is also in the heart of Derby which is perfect for potential buyers to not only find, but is only a short walk to where the homes will be built - so it’s the perfect fit for us both.”

haart Branch Partner Aaron Ottewell, said:

“The market here is strong, both within the city and surrounding villages, and our expert teams are backed by state-of-the-art marketing, including our unique FLINK technology, that helps buyers find the home of their dreams.”

haart Divisional Sales Director Claire Drewett added:

“This is a key development within Derby and one that we know is close to the hearts of many residents, so continues to create a huge buzz as the date draws closer for people to actually be able to purchase the properties - so this new office is going to be the perfect base for this.”

haart is already handling enquiries for the first of the 2 and 3-bed apartments and houses, being constructed on the former Derbyshire Royal Infirmary site.

The 18-acre site will be a ‘green oasis’ for residents, including cycle routes, an open air gym and fitness area, children’s play areas and planting throughout the site.

The infirmary’s iconic pepper pot buildings will be retained for community use, with residents having access to numerous facilities including a café, gym, exhibition space and meeting rooms.

Enquiries opened for the first wave release of the luxury 125 two and three-bedroom homes opened earlier this year, and already hundreds of people have expressed an interest in them.
