Building a career with Miller Homes

Miller Homes Midlands is helping six new apprentices lay the foundations for a career in construction.

The national housebuilder is teaching Nathan Bedford at Heritage Grange in Sapcote, Leicestershire, Lennon Bradley at Meadows View in Bottesford, Nottinghamshire and Joe Talbott at Charters Gate in Castle Donington, the skills they need to become successful joiners, while Lewis Booth and Bailey Bennett both at Hackwood Park in Derby and Cameron Flaherty at Sovereign Park in Shrewsbury will be trained in bricklaying.

The new recruits will be joining Miller Homes teams across the Midlands and they will combine hands on experience in the industry with their college studies, working towards a recognised qualification and potentially and full-time job at the end of the three years.

Danny O’Connor, area managing director for Miller Homes Midlands, said:

“It’s great to welcome six new recruits to our team and we are looking forward to working alongside them and seeing them develop over the coming years.

“An apprenticeship is a great way to start a career in the housebuilding industry and we are committed to helping them take their first steps onto the career ladder.

“We are already really impressed with all the new apprentices, and can see each and every one of them progressing well with Miller Homes Midlands. We look forward to watching them develop in what will be a fulfilling and rewarding career.”

Miller Homes has developments across the East and West Midlands, from Gloucester to Rugby, Lichfield to Derby, Nottinghamshire to Leicestershire
