Leading sustainable resin driveway company, Oltco, launches in Derby

Oltco, the UK’s leading sustainable resin driveway company has just launched in Derby and is run by local businessman, Adam Smith.

Oltco will be delivering premium resin driveway solutions, including its innovative product, Recycle Bound, across Derby and the surrounding towns and villages.

Recycle Bound is the world’s first recycled driveway solution which helps to combat the global issue of plastic waste. Made utilising waste plastic (straws, plastic drink bottles and plastic food packaging) from a plastic recycling point, each square metre of Recycle Bound consists of the equivalent of 3,000 plastic straws. Therefore if Recycle Bound was laid on a standard 50 square metre drive, the equivalent of 150,000 plastic straws would be recycled in the process. Nine months since the launch of Recycle Bound in January 2019, Oltco has already used the equivalent of over 21 million plastic straws in driveways, paths and patios across the UK and this number continues to grow every week.

Adam began his career in customer service before moving into various sales, marketing and account management roles. Most recently he worked for Hilti who are global leaders in the construction industry. 

Throughout his career, Adam has gained vast amounts of experience in different industry sectors, and he decided it was time for a new venture. Adam knew that he wanted to take the leap to becoming his own boss and to be in full control of his own destiny. Adam wanted his venture to be one in which he could marry his passions for the environment, providing excellent customer service and maintaining brilliant customer relationships.

Adam says:

”When I heard about Oltco, I was instantly excited by the branding and business concept. I knew immediately that I wanted to be part of such an innovative and exciting enterprise, particularly to be able to offer Recycle Bound to the Derby area.
