Farewell to Peter Motley

With the greatest sadness, we inform you that our dear friend Peter Motley lost his battle with bowel cancer on Tuesday 15 October.

He was a well known character in the East Midlands business community, through his Business Network East Midlands lunchtime events.

Peter was a great supporter of Love Business and helped launch the concept back in 2012.

Dedicated to helping business owners

Following a long and successful career with BT, Peter launched the Business Network East Midlands.

This was a groundbreaking networking group and gave business owners the opportunity to meet likeminded people, hear great speakers and solve their everyday business issues through Pete's strategic introductions.

His energy and connections helped Love Business get started.

Steve Megson, Managing Director of Love Business founder Quiet Storm Solutions, said: "Peter was one of the most generous people you could meet.

"He had time for everyone, was a great facilitator of connections and the epitome of a successful networker. His energy was instrumental in launching Love Business back in 2012.

"Reaching out to the business communities of Derby, Nottingham and Leicester to promote a new event which focused on all the positives in the region.

"Our thoughts go out to his wife Sue and their family."
