A charity golf day arranged by Nottingham-based Barratt Homes North Midlands has raised over £6,200 for its Charity of the Year, Treetops Hospice Care.

83 golfers, including Barratt Homes’ employees and representatives from the charity, took part in the tournament, which was held at Ramsdale Park Golf Centre in Calverton.

The tournament was won by a team made up of Hallam Land and the Barratt Homes’ Land department and an enjoyable afternoon was had by all, with additional fundraising activities such as a raffle taking place on the day.

Treetops Hospice Care is a charity providing nursing care and emotional support for adults and their families in Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire.

Their mission is to make every day count for patients living with life-limiting illnesses and their families or those affected by their loved ones passing away.

Laura McWha, Corporate Partnerships Fundraiser at Treetops Hospice Care, said:

“We want to say a huge thanks to everyone who’s taken part in the charity golf day and helped raise such a ‘tee-rific’ amount for Treetops!

“We’re so pleased with how successful the Charity of the Year partnership is going and so grateful for the support everyone is showing throughout the year.”

Chris Southgate, Managing Director at Barratt Homes North Midlands, said,

“The tournament was a great day of golf enjoyed by all, made even better knowing that we were raising vital funds for such a worthwhile cause.

“As a leading developer it is our duty to contribute towards local communities in which we build, and we’re very pleased that our golf day was able to raise over £6,200.”
