Buttercross Estates Makes the Move to New HQ

Award-winning Newark letting agency Buttercross Estates has kick-started its expansion plans with a move to a bigger office and the search for an apprentice.

Today (Monday 14th October), the team from Buttercross Estates have moved into their new office at Newark Beacon, off Beacon Hill Road in the town.

The move marks the beginning of a period of growth for the agency, as the bigger office will accommodate another member of staff, who will join the team later this month.

Daniel Otton, Managing Director at Buttercross Estates, said:

“We’ve got big plans for the coming year and the move to the larger office at the Beacon is the first step.

“Now we have the room to grow, we’ll be able to build our team and host events on our own turf.

“I’m really looking forward to bringing an apprentice onboard. I started my working life as an apprentice and found it a great alternative to traditional education. This addition to our team will enable us to take on more managed properties.”

Daniel and Portfolio Manager Abi Friar are also planning to host a landlord event, which is due to take place at Newark Beacon in November.

“There have been several changes to legislation for landlords, so we’re hoping to update them to ensure they’re staying safe whilst getting the very best out of their property investments”, explained Abi.

“A key development has been the change in legislation banning tenant fees, which will enable tenants to move more easily if they aren’t being looked after as they should.”

As well as a welcome and update from Daniel, the landlord event will also include guest speakers from local accountancy firm Duncan & Toplis and solicitors Tallents who will provide advice to landlords hoping to get the most from their investments.

Daniel added:

“I’m really looking forward to welcoming our clients to our new office. The fact that there are conference rooms on site will also mean we can host our landlord events in the comfort of these professional facilities, with great accessibility for our guests.

“To celebrate the opening of our new office we will donate £1 for every visitor we have in the next month. All the proceeds will go to Newark Emmaus Trust, a local charity that provides accommodation, care, support and training for young people”.
